GoBe tracks your heart rate using optical sensor technology with green light. This method allows you to monitor your heart rate without additional devices like chest straps.
How it works
GoBe uses a method called photoplethysmography (PPG). The device shines a green LED light onto your wrist. Since blood absorbs green light, the amount of light reflected back varies with each heartbeat.
A built-in sensor captures the reflected light, and HEALBE algorithms analyze how much light is absorbed. Based on this, the device calculates your heart rate. The supported range for measurements is 40 to 210 beats per minute.
This technology enables GoBe to remain compact while still delivering accurate results.
Tips for more accurate heart rate tracking
To ensure reliable heart rate data, consider the following:
- Fit: Wear the band snugly on your wrist. It should not be so loose that it shifts, nor so tight that it feels uncomfortable.
- Movement: The sensor works best during rhythmic movements like running or cycling. During irregular activity such as weight training or intense upper-body workouts, measurement accuracy may decrease.
